Ruby Red Rendezvous

Project:
Create a buzz-worthy look and feel for a website, event posters and invites to promote OKC Beauitful's 40th Anniversary party, the Ruby Red Rendezvous. 

Strategy:
OKC Beautiful may be turning 40, but its board is full of movers and shakers who are young or young-at-heart and have an eye for beauty and a love for OKC. Our goal was to combine these personality traits to create a bold, attention grabbing image for the Rendezvous.

Execution:
Any event called Ruby Red Rendezvous is just asking for a big, bold, monochromatic color palette. To add visual interest to our single-hued canvas, we used varying font weights and mixed in a few contrasting textures. While this created an intriguing facade and some impressive posters, the real magic took place in the code behind the Rendezvous landing page. With a nifty parallax effect and some JavaScript manipulation, we were able to create an immersive, layered experience. It is, dare we say... Beautiful.
